This privacy statement relates to processing of personal data of FiberCore Europe BV ("we" or "us"), located at Oostdijk 25 in Rotterdam registered in the register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 24313140.

FiberCore Europe supplies customer-specific composite structural elements for infrastructure applications and performs sales and marketing activities for orders leading to engineering, production and transport activities.

In this policy, we describe what personal data we collect from you in connection with the provision of elements in composite, how we handle this personal data and what rights you are entitled to in that context.

Personal data and purposes

Personal data is any data, which can (directly or indirectly) identify a natural person. Personal data can be a name or telephone number, but also, for example, a date of birth or e-mail address.

We collect personal data for the following purposes:

  • To comply with legal obligations and/or regulations imposed on us in connection with our operations.
  • For the performance of a contract entered into with us and recording data necessarily resulting therefrom. The data from this may also be used for relationship management.
  • For marketing purposes involving a legitimate interest such as newsletters and posts on social media to inform you about our products, projects and services.
  • Providing the personal data is not required by law or contract. If you do not provide this personal data, our service and/or information provision around projects may not be optimal as a result.

With whom do we share personal data?

We provide personal data to organizations/external service providers such as (without being exhaustive) for health and safety services and payroll processing. To this end, processing agreements have been concluded with the parties involved.

We will provide personal data if we are required by law to do so.

We do not transfer your personal data to (legal) persons outside the European Economic Area.

We use cookies when you visit our website. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. During your first visit to our website, we have already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them.

Retention periods

All personal data provided to us will not be kept longer than necessary for the purpose for which they were collected. Hereby we observe at the same time the legal retention periods within the framework of e.g. administrative and/or fiscal obligations.

For personal data received in the context of handling assignments and or advice, we apply a retention period of 24 months after the end of the assignment and/or relationship with FiberCore Europe.

If we no longer need the data for the purpose for which it was collected, it may still be retained for research, legal proceedings and/or statistical purposes.

Personal data security

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data against loss or any other form of unlawful processing.

Changes to our privacy policy

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Through our website - fibercore-europe.com - the latest version of our privacy policy is always available. Via mailing, our relations will be notified of a change.

You have the right to request us to:

  • Provide access to your personal information (such as your address or phone number);
  • have your personal data (such as your address or phone number) completed, corrected or deleted;
  • object to the processing of your personal data;
  • limit your personal data; and/or
  •  transfer your personal data to you or a third party.

These rights are not absolute. We will review your request in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. We will provide you with information about the actions we have taken in response to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within one month of receiving your request. We may extend this deadline by two months due to the complexity of your request or the number of requests we receive. We will inform you in that case.

You have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority at any time.
