Dieren| Traverse Dieren

Traverse Dieren was commissioned by the Province of Gelderland, but was transferred to the Municipality of Rheden after completion. The municipality had expressed its desire in advance to have a low-maintenance system under its management. Another requirement was that the bridge section had to be removable and thus designed to be relatively lightweight. Furthermore, the limitation of nuisance played an important role.

FiberCore designed a lightweight and low-maintenance composite bridge system, which could be installed and opened to road users in a short period of time. The bridge was too large to be delivered to the site in one part. Therefore, it was built in three parts, which were momentarily assembled together on site.
