Did you know that FiberCore composite bridges can float? Of course, that offers opportunities at construction sites that are difficult to reach! Plegt-Vos preferred a dry (and clean) bridge and floated this bridge, placed in at the Penningsdijk in front of the Zernike Campus Groningen and Municipality of Groningen, using pontoons. Thus, the bridge was placed within hours and with minimal resources. Transporter Zwatra B.V. transported this 30-meter-long colossus from our location in Rotterdam to Groningen.
