Lelystad | New Standard Bridges

In the Waterwijk district of Lelystad, the municipality of Lelystad has replaced four wooden bicycle and pedestrian bridges with fully composite FiberCore bridges. The handrails are also made entirely of composite, so that no more maintenance is actually to be expected on these either.

The four old wooden bridges were at the end of their useful life and in need of replacement. Two more bicycle and pedestrian bridges have since been ordered for the same district.

All bridges have the same appearance in terms of design and color so that the bridges fit nicely into the existing situation.
